We’re looking for an IT Project Manager

We’re a leading global cybersecurity company, and our fast-growing IT department is the engine powering our expansion by ensuring the smooth operation of our IT landscape, driving key IT projects both on-premise and in the cloud, and supporting organizational change while delivering value to our customers.

Are you ready to join our team? We’re hiring an organized, driven IT Project Manager with exceptional stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, as our teams are geographically and culturally diverse. You will be a key member of the IT team and PM function, although most of your time will initially be spent working with Talent Acquisition as they work to increase the company’s size.

This role will contribute enormously to the success of the IT department and is an excellent opportunity to join an exciting industry with other focused, talented professionals. Working in collaboration with our Senior IT PM, you will be responsible for the detailed planning, tracking, and reporting of many of our internal IT/TA projects—and ultimately their timely delivery.

IT infrastructure at Network Guard

Our environment is far from a traditional IT landscape and we manage it with code using Infrastructure as Code via CI/CD pipeline enabling us to be exceptionally versatile and agile.  If we can automate it, then we do so – and enable our high performing IT team to focus on what matters – driving business value with the tools we provide to our users. Our IT infrastructure roughly looks like this:

  • Identity by Okta for 100+ SAAS services
  • Google Workspace(GSuite)
  • Workstations include Mac, Linux, Windows, Chromebooks, and AWS Workspaces
  • Very little on-premise infrastructure: We’re cloud-based where possible
  • Workstations that run device-management and endpoint protection clients
  • Splunk SIEM monitors events from endpoint-protection, SAAS services, and networks

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the IT & TA teams to deliver valuable projects on time and within scope and budget
  • Keeping multiple, diverse projects in flight simultaneously with excellent resource planning
  • Working closely with the Senior PM, IT Manager, and IT Product Managers to ensure we tackle the highest priority projects and deliver the greatest value to the business
  • Stakeholder management—our stakeholders can be in any area of the business with a wide range of motivations and needs
  • Understanding available resources and working with senior management to align expectations of project delivery timelines
  • Providing clear and concise reporting to the business and the greater IT department around current status and progress, and identifying risks before they become issues
  • Using our existing tools to plan, track, and visualize project work
  • Mentoring team members in effective project management and delivery

To succeed in this role, we’d love for you to have some or most of the following skills or experience:

  • Agile project management
  • Waterfall project management
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering projects of varying sizes on time, in scope, and across different business functions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English—you will need to communicate your plans to all levels across the business
  • Comfortable managing projects with remote and distributed team members
  • Working knowledge of Agile project management software (Jira or other), along with processes and procedures
  • Outstanding interpersonal relationship building
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Communication planning and execution
  • A keen ability to ask questions and dig into an issue until you understand it
  • Can-do attitude: given a problem, you quickly understand the requirements and output a solution
  • Understanding of IT architecture, process and technologies and automation that drives business value
  • An ability to develop spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document needs and communicate them with all levels in the organization
  • Experience with the software development lifecycle using Agile methodology
  • Experience researching and implementing cloud services
  • Understanding of Scrum (some of our IT teams use this)
  • You’ve worked in an OKR environment

What we offer

  • Challenging work in a fun and collaborative environment
  • Attractive compensation and time-off benefits
  • Spacious open-concept and centrally located offices
  • Full-time employment with flexible working hours
  • Fully stocked pantry with fresh fruit and snacks
  • Team lunches and company events every quarter
  • Multicultural teams represented by 30+ nationalities
